Key Information for Your Alarm to Work Properly

Fall Detection. HelpAlert devices are equipped with advanced fall detection technology designed to differentiate between significant falls and routine movements. However, fall detection is not guaranteed to detect all falls. The effectiveness of the feature depends on several factors, including how and where the device is worn at the time of the incident. Users must always press the emergency button if they are able to do so. Fall detection should be viewed as an additional safety feature, not a substitute for manually activating an alarm when assistance is required. HelpAlert Limited accepts no liability for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from the non-activation or failure of fall detection technology.

Network Coverage. HelpAlert devices that use a SIM card rely on an active mobile network connection to transmit alarm signals and enable two-way communication. In areas where no mobile signal is available, the device will be unable to place an alarm call, establish contact with our control room, or transmit location data - without network coverage, the device cannot connect. HelpAlert Limited is not responsible for any service disruptions caused by mobile network availability or coverage limitations.

Do I have to return anything if I don’t join at the end of my trial?

Yes. We require you to return your HelpAlert device. If the device and all accessories are not returned, you may be charged.

How do I send back my device?

To initiate a return, email us atcareteam@helpalert24.co.uk or call 01273 055049 and we will provide you with the return address. Box up your device and send it back to us within 7 days. 
Please note, the device must be returned undamaged and in good working order to be eligible for a full cancellation and to avoid additional charges.

When do I have to send back my HelpAlert device?

We ask you return the device within 7 days of requesting the trial cancelation to ensure you are not charged.

What happens if I don’t return my device?

If the device and all accessories are not returned, you will be charged.

My items got damaged during my trial. Do I still have to return them?

Yes, we still require that you return your device even if it has been damaged and you may be charged for the damaged device.

All free trials automatically carry over to either a monthly or annual subscription if you do not initiate a return within the 14 day trial period.

A subscription is required with all our alarms. It ensures that you have access to the essential 24/7 monitoring service and a lifetime warranty, so any equipment issues are handled by HelpAlert at no additional charge.

How do I provide you with details of my emergency contacts?

Once you place your order, we’ll send you a welcome email with a link to our emergency contact form. This form allows you to provide important details like the user’s medical history, medications, and emergency contact information. This ensures we can offer the best possible assistance during an emergency. After we receive this information, we’ll program your device and dispatch it with next-day delivery.
