What happens once the Go Watch arrives?

All of our devices are pre-configured in our warehouse using the details from your emergency contact form. This ensures that your device is ready to use straight out of the box upon arrival.


Simply charge the GO Watch and press the SOS button to make a quick test call to the control room. This test call confirms that the device is fully activated, functioning correctly, and ensures the user is comfortable with raising an alarm if needed.

Does the Go Watch automatically detect falls?

The Go Watch Plus includes automatic fall detection. If it senses a serious fall, it raises an alert automatically, even if you can’t press the button yourself. The Go Watch does not include fall detection, so you’ll need to press the button manually if you need help.

Both models connect you straight to our 24/7 UK-based response team, who can speak to you through the pendant and get the right help immediately.

Do I need to pay for the SIM card or the calls separately?

No, everything is included. The SIM, connection, and unlimited emergency calls are all covered in your plan.

Can the Go watch be used in the shower?

Yes, it is fine to be used in the shower. We do not advise submerging the Go Watch in water for long periods of time, for example in the bath or whilst swimming.

Can the Go Watch work outside my house, wherever I go?

Yes, the Go Watch is fully mobile and works wherever you go, both inside and outside your house, as long as there is mobile network coverage.

How do I make an emergency call with the Go watch?

Press and hold the button on the right side of your watch. Our multi-network SIM will automatically connect to the strongest available signal. The user can have a two-way conversation with the emergency control room directly through the watch, speaking into it with ease.

Does the Go Pendant automatically detect falls?

The Go Pendant Plus includes automatic fall detection. If it senses a serious fall, it raises an alert automatically, even if you can’t press the button yourself. The Go Pendant does not include fall detection, so you’ll need to press the button manually if you need help.

How do I make an emergency call with the Go Pendant?

Press and hold the main button on the pendant for a few seconds.

You’ll be connected to our HelpAlert Emergency Control Room, who will talk to you through the pendant, assess the situation, and contact your chosen family members or the emergency services if needed.

Can I use the Go Pendant if I have a pacemaker?

For safety, if you have a pacemaker, it’s not advisable to wear the HelpAlert Pendant around your neck. Instead, you can use the pendant as a key fob or place it in a pocket or bag, ensuring it is at least 25cm away from your pacemaker at all times.

Alternatively our Go Watch and Go Watch plus are perfectly safe to use with a pacemaker. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01273 055049.

What if the user of the Go Pendant is hard of hearing?

The pendant includes a built-in speaker and microphone designed to be clear and loud enough for most users.

If the user struggles to hear, our team can still manage the emergency using the pendant’s location and their emergency contact details to make sure help reaches them quickly.

How often do I need to charge the Go Pendant?

We recommend charging it daily for at least 2 hours to ensure the pendant lasts 2-3 days with normal use.

What happens after ordering?

Once you place your order, we’ll send you a quick form to collect your emergency contact details. After that, your Home Lifeline will be prepared, tested, and sent out ready to use within just a few days.

What happens once the Home Lifeline arrives?

Inside the box you’ll find your base unit, alarm button, and easy step-by-step instructions.

Simply plug the base unit into a power socket and test it with our team. We’ll make sure everything is working perfectly before you start using it.

Does the Home Lifeline automatically detect falls?

Yes, if you have the Home Lifeline Plus. It uses smart sensors to detect a sudden fall and then checks whether the wearer remains still. If no movement is detected within about 30 - 40 seconds, it automatically sends an alert to our 24/7 Emergency Response Team.

What is the difference between the Home Lifeline and the other alarms?

The Home Lifeline and Home Lifeline Plus are designed for use inside the home and garden.

The Go Pendant and Go Watch use GPS and mobile technology to provide protection anywhere you go.

If you mainly need help at home, the Home Lifeline is ideal. If you’re often out and about, the Go range is a better fit.

Will my Home Lifeline work if there is a power cut?

Yes, the battery backup in the Home Lifeline base-unit will work for approximately 24 hours. This means that during a power cut you will still be able to make an alarm call and speak with the emergency control room.

Can the wrist strap be switched for a pendant?

Yes. If you’d prefer a pendant instead of a wrist strap, select your choice at checkout and we will post your chosen option.

What is the range of the Home Lifeline?

The Home Lifeline and Home lifeline Plus both have a range of up to 200m.

When can I expect my order to be delivered?

Once your order is paid for and we have received your emergency contact information, your device will be delivered using Royal Mail Tracked24 providing 24hr delivery and is tracked all the way to you.

What’s your refund policy?

You can cancel your subscription at any time with 30 days’ notice. If you’re on an annual plan, we’ll issue a refund for any unused months. Just make sure the device is returned safely; if it’s lost in transit without tracking, the replacement cost will be your responsibility.

What happens if I cancel early?

If you cancel an annual plan before the subscription year is over, we’ll refund you for the unused months. Keep in mind that delivery charges and any discounts you received will be deducted from your refund.
